About the Journal

Indonesian Journal of Environmental Sciences and Education (IJESE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by Nohan Institute. The journal is committed to disseminating high-quality, innovative research and scholarly work that explores the interconnectedness of environmental sciences, sustainability, and ecological education. It serves as a platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to examine fundamental aspects of environmental conservation, sustainable development, ecological systems, and environmental literacy through interdisciplinary research and evidence-based approaches.

IJESE welcomes original research articles, theoretical and conceptual papers, literature reviews, and case studies that investigate contemporary issues in environmental management, climate change, biodiversity conservation, sustainable resource management, environmental policy, and ecological education. By encouraging interdisciplinary perspectives and diverse methodological approaches from fields such as environmental science, ecology, education, policy studies, and sustainability science, the journal aims to foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration among researchers, educators, policy makers, and environmental practitioners.

To ensure academic rigor and integrity, IJESE applies a blind peer-review process, whereby all submitted manuscripts undergo thorough evaluation by subject-matter experts. Manuscripts must be original and not under review or previously published in other journals. Articles can be submitted in English or Indonesian.

The journal follows an open-access policy under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, ensuring free and unrestricted access to its contents and promoting the broad dissemination of knowledge to national and international academic, professional, and community audiences.

IJESE is published two issues per year (May and September). Through its dedication to excellence in environmental sciences and education research, ethical publication standards, and global accessibility, IJESE seeks to become a leading source of scholarly insight and a vital forum for advancing evidence-based practices that promote environmental sustainability and ecological education in contemporary society.
