Open Access Policy
PUBLICATION FREQUENCY
Journal of Local Wisdom (JLW) is published two issues per year (March, September). Each issue features high-quality research articles that explore the roles, values, and manifestations of local wisdom in various social, cultural, educational, and environmental contexts. The journal includes studies on indigenous knowledge systems, cultural heritage preservation, community development, education based on local values, sustainable practices, and the integration of local wisdom in contemporary life to promote harmony, resilience, and sustainability.
OPEN ACCESS MODEL
JLW is an open-access journal, that ensures all published articles are freely and immediately available online without subscription or access fees. The journal operates under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. Under this license, users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, and adapt the content for any lawful purpose, provided that proper attribution is given to the original work and that any derivative works are shared under the same license. By adopting an open-access model, JLW promotes the free exchange of knowledge, enhances global research accessibility, and contributes to the advancement of educational research.
AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Authors submitting to JLW are required to:
- Ensure that their manuscripts are original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Adhere to ethical research and publication practices, including proper citation, authorship contributions, and conflict of interest disclosures.
- Comply with JLW's formatting and submission guidelines to facilitate a smooth review and publication process.
- Grant JLW the right to publish and disseminate their work under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license while retaining copyright ownership.
