The Indonesian Journal of Teaching and Teacher Education (IJTTE) centers on advancing scholarly understanding of teaching, teacher education, and pedagogical practices in diverse social, cultural, and institutional contexts. The journal emphasizes research that:

  • Examines how teaching practices, curriculum design, and instructional strategies shape student learning, teacher professional development, and educational outcomes.

  • Explores classroom interactions, communication patterns, and pedagogical approaches in formal and informal learning environments.

  • Investigates the intersections of teaching, policy, culture, and educational equity in shaping effective learning experiences.

  • Promotes innovative, inclusive, and reflective approaches to teacher education and pedagogical research.

IJTTE aims to facilitate intellectual exchange among educators, teacher educators, researchers, and policymakers to deepen theoretical and empirical insights into effective teaching, professional development, and educational innovation both locally and globally, with particular attention to the Indonesian context and international perspectives.

The scope of IJTTE includes, but is not limited to, the following areas and themes:

Focuses on instructional strategies, classroom management, active learning, and innovative teaching methodologies. Topics include student-centered learning, differentiated instruction, assessment for learning, and curriculum implementation.

Teacher Education and Professional Development
Explores programs, policies, and practices that support teacher preparation and ongoing professional growth. Topics include pre-service and in-service teacher training, mentoring, reflective practice, and teacher identity development.

Educational Policy and Curriculum Studies
Investigates the role of educational policies, standards, and curriculum frameworks in shaping teaching and learning. Includes comparative studies, curriculum evaluation, and policy analysis.
